Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you on a journey via Medellin’s innovative public transit systems (including the MetroCable) to the place where Medellin’s world-famous flowers come from. In the village, you’ll visit the main town square with the typical colonial style you’ll find in communities throughout the region.
You’ll learn about the history of the silleteras, who navigated the rugged, mountainous terrain carrying loads of up to 75 kilos on their backs (people and products) during colonial times. Your guide will lead you on a hike on ancestral trails through the Parque Arvi natural preserve and Pre-Hispanic archeological site. Then you’ll stop by a finca silletera (flower farm) and enjoy a traditional Colombian lunch. Your guide will drop you off back at the hotel at the end of the tour.
